Rendering of new MIT graduate student tower

Graduate student housing groundbreaking & community art center mural celebration

MIT invites you to join Chancellor Cynthia Barnhart, Mayor E. Denise Simmons, Community Art Center Executive Director Eryn Johnson, local youth artists, and MIT’s Graduate Student Council to celebrate the start of construction of the Institute’s newest graduate student residence hall and the installation of a special community-based mural designed by the Community Art Center’s Teen Media Program.

Guests are invited to a reception following the ceremony. The evening will showcase Cambridge’s innovative spirit as part of the Kendall Square/MIT: Innovation Playground — a featured HUBweek event. Attendees will have the opportunity to experience all kinds of fun activities, including augmented reality, laser graffiti, a LEGO model display, and a chance to visualize the new Kendall Square Initiative buildings via virtual reality.
