Infinite Mile Program

Employee recognition is an important component of growing a culture of development in OVC. Our Infinite Mile Award Program is an opportunity to recognize individual employees and teams that have shown excellence; to foster an environment of commitment to shared success; and to showcase employee achievement. Every OVC employee has an opportunity to contribute to the recognition of their peers through the annual nomination and selection process.

The nomination period is now open and the deadline for for both individual and team nominations is Friday, March 16.

This year, a special committee of representatives from across the OVC reviewed the award criteria and the six categories. The goal was to ensure they align with our newly created OVC values and highlights the kinds of behaviors we want to encourage and recognize across the Office of the Vice Chancellor.

The updated categories are: Collaboration & Communication, Community, Serving the Client (formerly: Customer Service), Diversity & Inclusion, Innovation & Creativity, and Everyday Leadership.

To access details of the nomination process, sample nominations, award categories and criteria, and the nomination form, visit the Infinite Mile Award Program page.

This year’s Infinite Mile award recipients will be announced at an award ceremony and celebration scheduled for Wednesday, June 13. The ceremony begins at 3 pm and will be followed by a reception with light refreshments until 5 pm Please hold the date!

Sexual Misconduct Prevention Training for MIT Faculty and Staff

MIT is committed to creating a healthy and vibrant campus community. One aspect of that effort is confronting the important topics of sexual assault, harassment, and relationship violence. The Committee on Sexual Misconduct Prevention and Response (CSMPR) has recommended that all MIT faculty and staff complete an online sexual misconduct prevention training.

What is the process?
In January, the phased rollout began with all Institute faculty. The staff rollout will occur gradually during the spring term. OVC is scheduled for training in April. More information will be sent to all OVC staff closer to that time.

If you have any questions about Sexual Misconduct Prevention Training, please contact either Sharon Bridburg at bridburg@mit.edu or Kristin McCoy at kmccoy@mit.edu.
