During IAP, Career Advising & Professional Development (CAPD) sponsored six employer site visits at local companies, attended by over 60 students. Accenture, Ceres, Biogen, Indigo Agriculture, Wayfair, and Neurable hosted our students, each providing a comprehensive look into their own office, mission, culture, and future. The majority of the visits also included a tour of the facility and, most importantly, an employee panel featuring MIT alums. Students not only got to hear about the day-to-day life as an employee, but also received vital insight and tips from alums to assist their educational and professional goals. All of the employers were excited to host our students and expressed an interest in continuing their recruiting relationship with MIT.

Although the polar vortex deterred some of our registered students from attending the visits, the students that did attend were interested, engaged, and active in the discussions with employer hosts and panelists. Site are a wonderful option for students during the IAP session, and CAPD will continue to collaborate with employers to provide these— opportunities in the future.
