Spring Infinite Careers Series Highlights Nonlinear Career Paths
This spring, Career Advising & Professional Development (CAPD) is excited to announce the upcoming season of our Infinite Careers speaker series. A collaboration with the Alumni Association, Infinite Careers brings back MIT grads with nonlinear career pathways to share stories and advice with current students.
This season, we’ll be hearing from a book publisher who moonlighted in professional wrestling after a master’s in Media Studies; a NPR science correspondent who translated her time spent at Woods Hole for her EAPS Ph.D. into a regular reporting job for WCAI; a biochemist-turned-illustrator who realized the diagrams she made for class notes could become an end instead of means; and so many others. All MIT students are welcome to attend these free dinner conversations!
Although we’ve got an exciting line-up for the spring, we’re always looking for future speakers. If you know of any grads who have gone on to unexpected-yet-fulfilling careers, please let us know!
