Changes to the 2019-20 Academic Calendar
Last spring, the faculty voted to move MIT’s Commencement to late May in most years. The Registrar’s Office has published a new webpage which outlines the ways that the 2019-20 Academic Calendar differs from last year.
Everyone should note changes to key dates — spring Registration Day, the first and last day of classes, the Patriots’ Day student holiday, and Commencement — as well as revisions to the length and format of the spring final exam period. Those who work with instructors and academic administrators should familiarize themselves with the distribution of class days and be especially attentive to the spring grade deadlines.
