Digital Diplomas @ MIT

Using MIT's new digital diploma system, employers and schools can quickly verify that a graduate's degree is legitimate by using a link or uploading the student’s file. Image courtesy of Learning Machine.

Did you know that all graduating students are eligible to receive a digital version of their diploma at no cost? This year, the digital diploma program will be the most immediate way for students to receive their credentials and share them with potential employers, schools, family, and friends.

Students must opt in to receive their digital diploma, which will not replace the physical diploma. Those on the degree list have received emails from the Registrar’s Office inviting them to download the Blockcerts Wallet app on their mobile device and add MIT as an issuer. Please encourage any students you work with to complete these steps as soon as possible to ensure that they receive their digital diploma before MIT’s virtual Commencement ceremony on Friday, May 29.
