Welcoming New Transfer Students
Every year, MIT admits approximately 25 undergraduate transfer students from colleges and universities around the globe. This summer, 20 transfer students “arrived” virtually to begin their MIT journey. They proudly sported the Green Team during Orientation and landed 3rd place in the flag competition. As sophomores, they still feel like college rookies and wanted to find out everything there is to know about MIT. Thanks to our senior transfer students — Evelyn Navarro, Awele Uwagwu, Mussie Demisse, Issa Rais, Aoudou Bassirou, and Kellie Issa Rais — who hosted “Top 10 Things to Know About MIT” on August 20, the transfers were able to learn about the top three most important recommendations: tunnels, cross-registration and free food!
